Dr James Dalgliesh completed his medical degree at the University of Sydney as a Post Graduate student. Prior to his medical studies he had completed a Bachelor of Science in molecular biotechnology.
After completing his medical degree James started his internship and residency at Concord Hospital, Sydney. James commenced his Ophthalmology training in 2015 as part of the Sydney Eye Hospital network. After completion James undertook a further 2 years of subspeciality training in Oculoplastics and following his fellowship at Sydney Eye Hospital stayed on in the department as a locum Oculoplastic Consultant. During this time James was actively involved in teaching and supervision of Registrars in both Oculoplastics and Cataract surgery.
James is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Ophthalmic Plastic Surgeons (ANZSOPS) with extensive training in Oculoplastics and General Ophthalmology for treatment and surgery on a wide range of eye conditions including: Skin cancers, Lacrimal diseases/DCR surgery, Ptosis, Eyelid malpositions, Age related Macular Degeneration, Diabetes related conditions, Thyroid eye diseases, Cataracts.
